Countries Supplying Assistance - Policies

For a number of reasons, Britain is the most important source of assistance among Commonwealth countries. Nevertheless, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand also provide appreciable amounts of help to other countries, both within the Commonwealth and outside the Commonwealth. Although the major supplying countries continue to place most emphasis on bilateral arrangements, they also make substantial contributions to multilateral programmes.
