The Commercial Sexual Exploitation of the Girl-Child in Commonwealth countries: The African Perspective

This study focuses on the causes, extent, trends and effects of sex tourism and trafficking in young girls within and between Commonwealth countries in Africa and between the Africa region and other regions of the world. It compares the incidence and effects of sexual exploitation among girls and boys. The study provides some information on the cultural, religious, socio-economic and socio-political contexts in which sex tourism and trafficking in young girls is practised in Africa.
