Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts Against the Safety of Civil Aviation, Montreal, 23rd September 1971
The offence established by the Hague Convention requires a seizure of an aircraft or an exercise of control over an aircraft, or an attempt to perform either of these acts. It may be committed only by a person or persons on board the aircraft which is the object of the actual or attempted seizure or exercise of control. Similarly, the conduct of an accomplice must take place on board an aircraft in flight if it is to constitute an offence within the Hague Convention.
