Making Government More Efficient and Removing Constraints

The tenth Five-year Plan pointed out that an important aspect of the redefinition of plan strategy is related to the role of government. The public sector is much less dominant than it used to be in many critical sectors and its relative position is likely to decline further as government ownership in many existing public sector organisations declines to a minority.
