Writing for Scientific Journals

There are now, and have been, a tremendous number of scientific journals coming into being in the world over the past three or four decades. It would seem that they have plateaued recently, and that some primary selection is being made on papers submitted to such journals, and in my opinion the reason for the slow-down, and the failure of journals to continue is simply money. We cannot continue to publish the number of journals in this exponential manner and survive because we simply do not have the money, nor the where-with-all to handle the journals, and the papers they produce.
