Management and Leadership: a Synoptic View

In the last chapter five task areas were considered in which educational leadership is required by school principals and by education officers and inspectors. Attention was given to the extent to which, and the means by which, previously agreed objectives influence or determine behaviour in these specific areas. It may be noted that there are common features in what is required of the educational leader in the different task areas.
